Do I need a legionella risk assessment?
If you are an employer, a landlord or otherwise in control of premises, you have a legal duty to assess and manage the risk from legionella. Most commercial buildings with hot and cold water systems will need a risk assessment.
How often should it be reviewed?
Your risk assessment should be reviewed regularly, and whenever there is reason to think it is no longer valid, for example after changes to the water system, the way the building is used, or if monitoring shows controls are not working. We will recommend a review period suited to your site.
What does a monitoring visit include?
Typically routine temperature checks, flushing of outlets, inspections and any planned maintenance set out in your written scheme, along with sampling where required.
How quickly will I receive my report?
We send reports and recommendations within 24 hours of every visit, so your records stay current. Where samples go to the laboratory, results follow as soon as the lab reports them.
